Job Overview:

The Manufacturing Operations Supervisor will oversee day-to-day operations in the manufacturing facility, ensuring production efficiency, quality control, and workforce management. This role will be responsible for supervising staff, optimizing workflows, and maintaining safety and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervision: Lead and supervise production teams to ensure that manufacturing operations are running efficiently and effectively.

  • Production Planning: Assist in planning and scheduling daily production activities, ensuring alignment with production goals, deadlines, and quality standards.

  • Quality Control: Monitor product quality and enforce quality control measures to meet industry standards and customer expectations.

  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity, reduce waste, and optimize resources.

  • Safety Management: Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safety policies, conducting regular safety audits, and addressing any safety concerns.

  • Training & Development: Train and mentor production staff on standard operating procedures (SOPs), equipment use, and safety protocols.

  • Performance Monitoring: Track and assess team performance, productivity, and adherence to operational standards. Provide feedback, coaching, and corrective actions as needed.

  • Inventory & Materials Management: Oversee material usage and inventory control to minimize downtime and ensure the availability of necessary supplies.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including quality assurance, maintenance, and engineering, to ensure smooth operations.

  • Reporting: Generate and analyze production reports, key performance indicators (KPIs), and suggest strategies for continuous improvement.

  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or a related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Experience: 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

  • Skills:

    • Strong leadership and team management abilities.

    • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

    • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.

    • Familiarity with manufacturing safety protocols and compliance.

    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

    • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

    • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.

  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing minimum [20 lbs].
